FAQS

I've never fasted before. Is this safe for beginners?

Absolutely! We start you at the level that’s right for your body, and Amy provides daily guidance and support. Most first-time fasters do beautifully with the Detox Easy level (juice + blends + salad). You’re never alone in this process.

Most people are surprised that after the first 1-2 days, hunger actually decreases. We provide 4+ liters of nourishing liquids daily, and you can adjust your level if needed. Your body knows how to fast—we’re just creating the supportive container.

We screen all participants and may require medical clearance for certain conditions (diabetes, heart issues, kidney disease, etc.). Amy is a licensed naturopath and will assess whether fasting is appropriate for you at this time. Your safety is our priority.

We include gentle yoga and walking, which most people feel great doing. Intense exercise isn’t recommended while fasting. This is a time for rest and restoration, not pushing your body.

You’re always in control. If your body is telling you it needs food, we’ll support you in breaking the fast safely and mindfully. There’s no shame—only honoring what your body needs.

Many people do release weight during a fast, but that’s not the primary goal. We focus on healing, not weight loss. Any weight released is a byproduct of your body detoxifying and resetting—not the point of the experience.

Maybe! We need to review your medications during the application process. Some medications require food, others may need adjustment. We work with you and encourage you to consult your prescribing physician.

We don’t include coffee in the fasting protocol as it’s stimulating and can interfere with the body’s natural detox process. We provide herbal teas and other nourishing alternatives. Many people find they don’t miss it!

No! While we encourage quiet time for reflection, this is a community experience. We share meals (well, juices!), have group sessions, and support each other through the process. Connection is part of the healing.

We’ll send you a preparation guide once you register. Generally, you’ll want to eat lighter in the days leading up, and we’ll guide you through how to break your fast safely at the end. This is all part of what you’ll learn!
