A note from Anthony

For most of my early life I lived inside a story I had not written. The breath is what gave me a pen. Before I was twenty, I had found my way to conscious breathing, and I have spent the more than fifty years since following where it leads.

I have watched this work meet people in boardrooms and classrooms and in the hardest hours of their lives. And I have watched a particular kind of person arrive at our door: someone who has read the books, taken the courses, sat in the circles, and felt a quiet certainty that they are meant to offer this to others. If that is you, I want you to know the feeling is not a mistake.

Some of this work asks for a room, a fire, a circle breathing the same air. That is what the residential is for. Twenty-one days at ASHA, with our trainers beside you, learning this the only way it can truly be learned: by living it. Come and breathe with us.

Anthony Abbagnano
Founder, Alchemy of Breath
The quiet ache

You can feel the calling. You are just not sure you are allowed to answer it.

You have done the online courses and the weekend workshops. You have breathed yourself through things you could not name. And somewhere in all of it, a thought arrived and would not leave: maybe I am meant to do this work.

Then the second voice arrives. You are not qualified enough. Not experienced enough. Not the type. You tell yourself you will wait until you are ready, and the years keep their quiet count. Online study took you a long way, then it set you down at a threshold it could not carry you across.

The threshold is real. So is the way through. That is what this training is for.

What this training is

Not a retreat. A real, credible path to facilitation.

This is a four-month accelerated Breathwork Facilitator Training. It opens with twenty-one days of live, in-person learning at ASHA in Tuscany, where you breathe the practice daily and learn to hold it for others. It continues for roughly three months online, with mentorship, study, and continued support, until you graduate fully certified.

You will not leave with a feel-good weekend and a certificate to match. You will leave able to guide individual and group sessions, grounded in ethics, anatomy, and lived practice, carrying a certification that is recognized across the breathwork field.

The immersion

21 days live at ASHA, Tuscany

Hands-on, in-person training in a small circle, breathing and facilitating daily under close supervision.

The integration

~3 months of online study and mentorship

Your learning settles into practice with continued teaching, mentorship, and the support of your circle.

The outcome

A certified, globally recognized facilitator

Graduate able to guide in person and online, ethically compliant, with triple-accredited certification behind you.

Why this one

What makes the residential different.

Plenty of trainings teach about breathwork. This one asks you to live it, in a place and a circle built for depth.

i.

Live, in-depth learning

Twenty-one days in the room, breathing and facilitating daily, learning the things the body only learns in person.

ii.

A small, intimate group

Places are kept few on purpose, so every participant is seen, supported, and given real time on their hands.

iii.

A Tuscan sanctuary

Forests, vineyards, a pool, and wild hot springs nearby. The land at ASHA is part of the teaching.

iv.

A comprehensive curriculum

Conscious Connected Breathing, the Mandala Breath, the anatomy of breath, and neuroscience woven with ancient wisdom.

v.

Globally recognized certification

A professional, ethically grounded qualification, triple accredited and respected across the breathwork field.

vi.

A lifelong community

You graduate into the Alchemy of Breath community, and the bonds formed in the circle tend to last far beyond it.

Your journey to mastery

Three movements, one path to certification.

1
Sept 27 – Oct 17, 2026

Twenty-one days live at ASHA

Immersive, hands-on days in the Tuscan hills, where the practice becomes part of you and you begin to facilitate.

2
The months that follow

Online study and mentorship

Roughly three months of continued learning, supervised practice, and support from the team and your circle.

3
Graduation

Certified breathwork facilitator

You graduate ready to guide, in person and online, with a globally recognized certification behind you.

What you will come to know

Not modules and weeks. Days together in a held space.

You learn this work by living it, morning to evening, with your trainers beside you the whole way.

i.

Conscious Connected Breathing

Learn the Mandala Breath in its fullest form, by breathing it daily and feeling where it carries you.

ii.

Holding a session

Guide breathwork for individuals and for the group, hands-on, under the close supervision of your trainers.

iii.

The anatomy of breath

How breath moves through body and mind, and how to meet the emotion and memory it can release.

iv.

Science and older wisdom

Modern neuroscience woven with traditional healing methods, held within one trauma-informed system.

v.

Your own self-healing

A deep personal clearing comes first. You cannot guide others somewhere you have not been yourself.

vi.

Ethical, certified practice

Graduate as an ethically grounded, globally recognized Alchemy of Breath facilitator.

You cannot lead another person anywhere you have not been willing to go yourself. So we start with you.

A personal message from Anthony

If you are wondering whether you belong here, read this first.

I have sat with thousands of people at the start of this work, and the doubt is almost always the same. They worry they have not done enough, or healed enough, or that everyone else in the circle will somehow be further along.

Here is what I have learned. The ones who become the finest facilitators are rarely the most polished when they arrive. They are the ones willing to be honest, to go first into their own depths, and to be held while they do it. That can be taught. That is what these twenty-one days are for.

You do not need to be ready in the way you imagine. You need to be willing. If something in you has been leaning toward this for a while, let us simply talk. No pressure, no performance. Just an honest conversation about where you are and where you might go.

Rest is part of the work

ASHA, a sanctuary in the Tuscan hills.

The residential is held at ASHA Retreat & Community Centre in Tuscany, Italy, surrounded by forests, vineyards, and a thriving garden. Twenty-one days is intensive, so the days are built with real rest and integration woven through them. The land itself, an environment of deep peace and natural beauty, is part of the teaching.

There is time by the pool, time to walk to the wild hot springs at Bagni San Filippo nearby, and time to wander the medieval streets of the towns close by. You arrive to learn. You also get to be nourished while you do.

  • Forests, vineyards, and gardens to walk and sit in between sessions
  • The pool, and the natural hot springs of Bagni San Filippo nearby
  • Medieval hill towns and Etruscan history within easy reach
  • A supportive, nurturing container, with the circle together throughout

General
Is it possible to do a payment plan?+

Yes! We are now offering monthly payment installments with a 20% up-front deposit. Please note that your balance must be fully paid 2 weeks prior to your arrival at Breathcamp. To take advantage of this offer, select ‘Deposit with installment payments’ from the dropdown at checkout.

Is it possible to leave sooner than the end?+

If you can’t stay for the full 7 days, you are welcome to leave early. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any refunds or discounts if you choose to leave early. Alchemy of Breath students attending BreathCamp to complete the Facilitator Training are required to stay for the full 7 days to be eligible to graduate.

I am very very new to breathwork. Is BreathCamp right for someone like me?+

Thank you for the question. You are so very welcome, at exactly the stage you are at. You’ll be surrounded by graduates of Breathwork, whose speciality is people just like you, just where you’re at. So, know the content and care is for two groups – both advanced (our graduates), and the general public, who are at varying stages of experience (many breathing for the first time). Just know, you’ll be held and taken care of in a beautiful way from the very start of your breathwork journey! Exciting!

Which airport is best to fly into to get to ASHA?+

On this page, below the FAQ’s, please see the section “How To Get To ASHA” – for full travel info.

Is there taxi service? How do I get to ASHA?+

2 Take The Train From FCO -it’s easy, with 2-3 train changes -the nearest train station is Chiusi Chianciano Terme -Use this taxi service: Taxi Service Il POSTALINO https://www.ilpostalino.com
Whatsapp: +39 335 5424668
Phone: +39 578 749056
Please book in advance.
Languages: English, Italian

How do I get to town from ASHA without a car?+

Yes! We are now offering monthly payment installments with a 20% up-front deposit. Please note that your balance must be fully paid 2 weeks prior to your arrival at Breathcamp. To take advantage of this offer, select ‘Deposit with installment payments’ from the dropdown at checkout.

Do you have wifi?+

Yes, free wifi is available in the main house and Dharma Den, though not in the rooms, or around the property.

What SIM cards work at ASHA?+

We suggest picking up a TIM or Wind SIM card when you arrive Italy. Because ASHA is half hour away from a major town, it’s important to pick it up before coming to ASHA.

Are there cats/dogs on site? Can I bring my animal(s)?+

At ASHA we have 7 cats, and 2 dogs. Given the sensitive nature of cats (and previous not so great experiences with dogs chasing them) leashes are required – and strictly enforced. And no, our dogs are not on leashes as they are integrated with our cats. They know who the boss is, and we know where they poo. We are surrounded by endless woods where your dog can roam free, though please keep them on a leash while at ASHA. Also, please be mindful of cleaning up poo so no one steps in it! There’s a 40 euro donation fee per pet.

Where can I do laundry?+

We now have a new laundry mat in town in the center of Castel’Azzara village, only a 20 minute walk away, under the arches. It’s super easy to find.

Is there a designated smoking area at ASHA?+

Smoking is only permitted in the parking lot. Please do not smoke inside or outside of your room, in the common areas, or other areas of ASHA, and all camp locations. And do consider that smoking isn’t a part of our culture, and not encouraged.

What about the use of alcohol and drugs?+

Please keep in mind we are a well-being center… this just isn’t the place for smoking, drugs, or alcohol. Like to have a glass of wine here and there? Sure. Though we trust you understand the nature of this work, and will not abuse the use of wine, just because it’s part of Italian culture (at ASHA, and in general while staying in the area).

Are there places to shop in Castell’Azzara?+

There’s one grocery store – The Co-op – and veg store, and a Thursday morning produce/general stuff market as well. The Co-op does have some organic dry products. We recommend bringing any speciality items. It’s basic in Castell’Azzara, not bad, though basic.

What is there to do around ASHA?+

There are many hiking trails around ASHA! If you’re interested, we recommend checking with our community member Stuart, who knows pretty much all of them. Castell’Azzara is surrounded with beautiful villages, such as Pitigliano or Sorano. There are also many historical sites dating back to the Etruscan people, the ancestors whose spirits are still spreading blessings to the land around ASHA. There are many natural hot springs within half hour of ASHA, including Bagni San Casciano and Bagni San Fillipo.

What's the policy on children & teenagers?+

Kids are welcome at ASHA, and a huge part of our vision. There’s plenty of space for them to roam around in a safe environment. Please be responsible for them at all times, including their clean up in communal spaces. Kids can only stay in private accommodation with their guardian (tent, glamping, camper, or private cottage) – not in shared accommodation with other students. Kids under 10 eat and stay for free. Kids 11 and over are charged for food and accommodation at New Member pricing, with a 20% discount. Attentive kids are welcome to join Breathcamp at the discretion of the trainer and facilitator of each session. Reach out to info@asha.global for more information, and to receive a special 20% coupon code. This offer applies for each kid in a family.

Can I arrive early or stay longer?+

Please contact info@asha.global to check availability.

Are there any conduct rules I need to follow at BreathCamp?+

Yes! Please keep in mind that due to the nature of our work, intimacy is usually at an all time high. Please don’t mistake that as an emotional or sexual invitation. Be considerate of others’ personal space, and don’t assume anything. And… please keep sexuality in general out of the equation unless you arrived as a couple. Together, let’s protect a safe space for everyone.

I like to have plenty of space to emotionally process. Is there a way to protect that during The Alchemist with others around?+

Absolutely. We suggest setting your own boundaries, and clearly communicating them as needed. You’re also welcome to reach out to the mentors and team if you need support. Take your space as needed!

What is the program schedule?+

See above for a typical daily schedule. We will be sending a more detailed program guide and camp schedule soon, so watch your inbox as your camp date approaches.

I need to book my return flight. What time do we finish on the last day?+

We finish after lunch, around 2 pm on the final day.

I would like to book more than one retreat at ASHA. How do I do that?+

You’ll need to pay for each retreat individually. Our system doesn’t allow for multiple bookings at one time.
