Weather in Ubud, Bali is usually warm to hot during this time of year and can be rainy as well due to the tropical climate. Most days the temperature in March is around 24-29 degrees Celsius so plan to pack for summer/warm weather.
Bali has a dry season (April to October) and a wet season (November- March) each year. Please pack accordingly as March is the tail end of the rainy season.
Drugs! ESPECIALLY FLYING INTO BALI.
They are strictly forbidden. Violating this and getting caught can bring dire consequences, even for small quantities. Just don’t do it.
Travel and medical insurance. Currently, it is mandatory to enter Indonesia for all foreign travelers to have International health insurance with minimum coverage of USD $100,000, including but not limited to COVID-19 related treatment and hospitalization in Indonesia
Current compliance can be found here for travel.
Please keep up to date with required paperwork / testing that may be necessary either on exit or entry. All planning and logistics for the breathcamp will be compliant with current COVID-19 regulations.
Overall, Bali is a safe place for travelers. The small amount of crime that occurs in Bali tends to be petty crime involving theft but is rare. If safety is a concern for you, we recommend traveling privately and avoiding public and or open group transportation.
While traveling and when visiting towns and villages, we advise mindfulness. Don’t flash expensive devices or carry large amounts of cash. Theft tends to be petty and opportunistic.
If avoidable, do not bring valuables with you that are unnecessary for your trip.
Plan to arrive into I Gusti Ngurah Rai (code DPS) International Airport in Denpasar. From there, it can take 1-2 hours to take a taxi from the airport to The Ark depending on traffic. We recommend arriving the day prior to allow for time to decompress from travel and rest before breathcamp begins.
We recommend hiring a private taxi to bring you directly from the airport to Ubud. You can direct the driver to bring you to TYGR Sushi in Ubud and there is a parking lot right behind there where you can be dropped off as the road that leads to The Ark is accessible by motorbike only.
From the parking lot, The Ark team will meet you by motorbike to come pick you and your luggage up to take you to The Ark. It is important to coordinate this process with their team, so we will need to have your Flight Information, a contact number for you, and arrival time to share with The Ark team.
