Coach Certification Training · ASHA, Tuscany · 27 Sept – 3 Oct 2026

Become a certified Alchemy Regulation Method Coach.

For yourself first. For the people you guide after.

A seven-day residential certification at ASHA in Tuscany. You walk in to feel regulation in your own body. You walk out as a coach who can guide it in others, with the credential to offer it professionally.

7 days residential 60 hours · online + on-land 6 stages of regulation 14 years of lineage
I was once sitting with a high-level client who was mid-panic attack, withdrawing from medication. No technique. No protocol. Just breathing together, with simple counting. That was enough. It started with one breath.
Anthony Abbagnano · Founder, Alchemy of Breath
Survival was never the plan

Most of us have been running dysregulated for so long, it just feels like who we are. It isn't.

So many of us have spent years, lifetimes even, stuck in survival. Fight, flight, freeze, as a way of being. Not as an emergency response. As a long-time way of being. You know the feeling.

Regulation doesn't mean life stops being complicated. It doesn't mean nothing will ever get under your skin again. It means when things do, and they will, you have a way back. A more available breath. The one that helps you not say the thing you'll spend days wishing you hadn't.

Breathe first. Everything else second. Regulation kicks in from there.

Science-informed

Grounded in respiratory physiology and nervous system understanding.

Experiential

You learn by practicing with fellow participants, not sitting in lectures.

Spacious

Designed for real integration, not information overload.

The methodology

Your nervous system is trainable. This is the architecture you'll teach.

For 14 years, we've been teaching people to consciously breathe. Now we're giving it the structure it deserves. Six stages of regulation, received in your own body across the week. The same six stages you'll guide others through as a certified Coach. Tap any stage to see what it builds.

01

Remember

Marry your breath.
+

You come back to your own breath. Before any technique, before any protocol, you sit with what has always been there.

This is what Anthony calls marrying your breath. A return to what the body already knew. Quieter than you remembered. More available than you knew.

02

Reframe

Breath as a nervous-system intervention.
+

You stop thinking of breath as relaxation or deep breathing. You start understanding it as a three-dimensional, nervous-system intervention.

The body work lands here, and so does the history. What you've been carrying becomes visible, and there's room to set some of it down.

03

Resource

A working vocabulary for the felt sense.
+

The felt sense becomes something you can draw on. Window of tolerance, pendulation, titration, co-regulation. They stop being terminology and start being how you read what's happening inside you.

You stop being lost when things get charged. You always have somewhere to come back to.

04

Regulate

The 90-second protocol.
+

The 90-second protocol arrives. You can settle yourself on demand. In a meeting, in traffic, in the middle of the thing you used to lose yourself inside of.

A tool you didn't have seven days ago. One that will be yours for every week after.

05

Realign

The 12-minute protocol.
+

The three-dimensional breath and the 12-minute protocol arrive together. Two practices that meet the nervous system where it actually lives.

You stop using breath only for yourself. You start using it for others. Your calm nervous system becomes someone else's anchor. A signal of safety.

06

RiseThe summit

Deliver your own session.
+

The practicum. You deliver your own session, in your own voice, with your own hands.

You graduate as the person who can do this when it matters. For yourself first. And if you choose, for the people you serve.

After you leave

A 10-hour online post-ASHA study completes your training. This is what makes you ready for full certification. The residential week gets you in the practice; this brings the foundations home with you.

What you leave with

Confidence you can feel. Practices you can use.

You're not coming to learn about regulation. You're coming to feel it, day after day, in your own body, until it stays. By the end of the week these tools live in you, not in your notebook.

  • A 12-minute daily breathing practice you will do hands-on all weekA complete morning regulation practice. For your own nervous system first, then for the people you work with.
  • A 90-second reset you practice until it becomes second natureFor acute stress, yours or someone else's. Simple enough to remember when it matters most.
  • A hands-on introduction to the session frameworkPracticed with partners: landing, assessing, guiding, and closing a 10 to 15 minute breath session.
  • The ability to recognize common dysfunctional breathing patternsChest breathing, over-breathing, breath holding, paradoxical breathing. Learned through observation and partner practice.
  • Your certification as an Alchemy Regulation Method CoachGPBA ethically compliant. The credential to offer the work professionally, and the first step into the full AoB facilitator pathway.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Do I need prior breathwork experience?+

No. The Alchemy Regulation Method is built for practitioners who already work with the body and the nervous system — coaches, therapists, physiotherapists, yoga teachers, healthcare professionals — and for anyone who has spent too long running dysregulated. What matters is the intention to use breath as a tool, in your own life or in your work.

What does the 10-hour online post-ASHA study involve?+

A 10-hour self-paced module you complete after the residential week. It deepens the foundations — respiratory anatomy, breath physiology, and the six stages of regulation — and is what completes your training and readies you for full certification. The week at ASHA gets it into your body. The post-study gets it into your understanding.

Can I continue to the full facilitator training afterward?+

Yes. The Alchemy Regulation Method counts as Level 1 of the facilitator training. From here you can continue with us into the full facilitator pathway.

What is included in the all-inclusive pricing?+

The full 60 hours of training (online and on-land), all meals at ASHA, and your chosen accommodation are bundled into a single price. Nothing is charged separately on arrival. Pay your deposit to secure your spot, balance due before arrival.

Is this appropriate for healthcare professionals?+

Yes. Everything taught is gentle, safe, and appropriate to integrate into existing professional practice. The Alchemy Regulation Method doesn't prescribe, diagnose or treat medical conditions. It builds your felt understanding of breath and the nervous system, which you can then bring into the work you already do, within your own scope.

How is this different from conscious connected breathwork?+

Conscious connected breathwork tends to lean into cathartic or expanded-state experiences. That work is real and we love it. The Alchemy Regulation Method is something complementary: the everyday physiology of breathing and regulation, taught simply enough that you can use it tomorrow morning. If you want to learn to deliver conscious connected breathwork yourself, you continue from here into the full facilitator training.

How large is the founding cohort?+

Intentionally small. The residential format and hands-on practice need a participant-to-instructor ratio that supports real skill development, not lecture-hall pacing. Places are limited and will not be extended beyond capacity.

Come feel the difference.

Seven days in Tuscany. Six stages of regulation. Practices that live in your body, not your notebook. Come and let's train it together, for the peace you really want.

The Alchemy Regulation Method is an educational program that introduces functional breathing and nervous system regulation. It does not cover conscious connected breathwork delivery, trauma catharsis, altered-state practices, or clinical diagnosis. Participants are encouraged to integrate what they learn within their own existing scope of practice.
